My biggest influence in my life has been my Dad, Mum & 2 elder sisters. My crew the Bra Boys have played a major role in my life. I am influenced by creative people who work hard. I am influenced by people who have come from nothing and made something of themselves.

I have just finished co-producing a track with RZA from Wu Tang for Souths Sydney Rabbitohs (NRL team) as a team track for them. And am heading back to LA in August to record new tracks, one in particular may be with a close friend Melody from the Pussycat Dolls. Will also be working on Russell Crowe's feature adaption of our documentary Bra Boys.

GET TO KNOW MAK

MAK is a surfer hip hop artist from the south Sydney suburb of Maroubra. He is also an award-winning filmmaker, Co-Director of the recently successful film Bra Boys, which was the highest grossing documentary in Australian history. While making the film, Mak joined together with fellow Bra Boy Nate Ford and formed the hip hop duo 3SEVEN7. 3SEVEN7 was created solely for the Bra Boys project to write, record and perform songs for the soundtrack of the movie. Since the release of Bra Boys in March 2007, Mak has been working on his solo career.

Mak has just returned to Australia following a whirlwind tour of the US with the film, performing a sell-out show at the X-Dance Film Festival in Utah, and to a crowd of 1200+ at the Hollywood Premiere of Bra Boys at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Hollywood (rubbed shoulders with some of the film and entertainment industry’s biggest names).

Mak is currently working with local and US producers, writing several new tracks for his forthcoming EP / album.
